Travel to Hurghada is easy from anywhere. It is home to Hurghada International airport, one of the busiest in the nation and a popular travel hub.

Travel Hurghada, Egypt

Hurghada is another resort town in Egypt and is not too coincidentally located by the Red Sea Coast. It is not merely a commercial resort, but a very nice mix of all sorts of Egyptian culture. In fact, Hurghada has quite the reputation for relaxation. Families like Hurghada because they don’t to worry about traveling or moving beyond the mini-bar and beach. Sounds fun, right? So how can you get into Hurghada?

Traveling to Hurghada by Air

You can’t really miss Hurghada as it is one of the biggest attractions around the entire Red Sea. Little wonder then than Hurghada can be reached from most of the major airports throughout Europe and throughout the Middle East.

In fact, once you depart from America then you basically have one more stop to make. (And if you’re from Europe then you don’t have to wait even a few token hours) This is because all of the major airports can fly you straight to the best resort spot in the country. That means you will most likely not have to stop in Cairo, Luxor or Alexandria. That sounds like a relaxed vacationer’s game plan - only minimal travel involved!

Ferryboats from Sharm El Sheikh

There’s more! While most tourists are content traveling by cab or by bus, you can take a ferryboat courtesy of International Fast Ferries, which sends fast cruises between Sharm el-Sheikh on the Sinai Peninsula and Hurghada. Ferry rides do tend to be bumpy so the resort does have bus and taxi accommodations if you need them.

By Bus from Cairo

You can get a ride to Hurghada from Cairo by using the bus, in only about seven hours. There are numerous bus stations that can help you get around including Medan El Giza, Ramsis Station downtown and the Almaza Station in the Heliopolis.

Research and Haggle

The only thing you should watch out for is for locals overcharging you. If you look like a tourist, then you look like an opportunity. So don’t be surprised to hear every taxi driver and every bus driver try and double your charges. This is why it pays to do your research so you will have exact change.

Furthermore, don’t try to argue with taxi drivers, as this gets you nowhere fast. Do not stall, try to look busy and be confident. That way, you will lose the “sucker” face that so many local shysters look for.

You travel to Hurghada for relaxation! Stop stressing and get to those sandy beaches you’ve heard so much about.
