How to Travel to Al Quseir

Our travel to Al Quseir section tells you what you need to know about getting there and how to take advantage of the travel options around the city, as well!
Al Quseir, Egypt
Today, the historical site of Al Quseir is a quiet resort, well known for its sandy beaches and coral reefs, and of course it’s exciting scuba diving activity. It has indeed come a long way from the industrial town that it used to be.
How can you arrange for travel in Al Quseir? Obviously, since Al Quseir is a seaside resort, there are no airlines flying directly into the city. Therefore, if you are flying in from Europe or America, you will have to land at one of the nearby cities like Cairo, Luxor or Hurghada.
Traveling from America
If you are flying from America then you must first leave the country at one of the designated international airports, such as the Los Angeles LAX International Airport or the Denver International Airport. After arriving in Europe, probably at Frankfurt/Main International Airport, Munich International, or the Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport, then you can travel to the country of Egypt. You will probably enter Cairo and then fly again to Hurghada. Once there, you will take a bus ride to Al Quseir.
Once you are in Al Quiseir, you can travel by bus or taxi depending on the next location and the distance involved.
By Foot, Taxi or Bus
Once you are already unpacked and enjoying the hotel, you may want to explore as much of the region as possible by foot. Most locations in Al Quiseir are a nice leisurely walk. For other plans, especially if you want to go out and see popular destinations like Cairo or Luxor, you can take a taxi or bus. Some hotels provide shuttle services, so it may pay off to book your full itinerary in advance.
Local Taxi Rides
What should you know about taxi rides in the area? Taxi riders are generally kind human beings. However, don’t put it past certain drivers to overcharge you for a short ride. To avoid this, it is recommended that you agree on a price before you set off. Make sure you verify that the meter is working, as the meter-not-working story is the oldest trick in the book.
What to See?
Remember that you can see the best of Al Quseir by booking escorted tours, which may travel in and beyond the town. Al Quseir is very popular with American and European tourists who enjoy its festive yet relaxed atmosphere, as well as its scuba diving sports. It is an easy location to travel to and from, and will make a quiet and dignified Egyptian vacation.
