Day 1: Arrive in Egypt

On the Spiritual Egypt Tour our representative will meet and assist you at the Cairo International Airport. Then a private, air-conditioned vehicle will transfer you to your hotel. Tomorrow, you will enjoy the places visited by Jesus in Egypt.

Day 2: Samanoud and Sakha

You will enjoy a trip to Samanoud on the Damietta branch of the Nile, where a church commemorates the resting place of the Holy Family. Then, you will proceed to Sakha, where the Holy Family is also believed to have visited, and a place renowned for its Christian community in the Middle Ages. You will then return to Cairo for the night.

Day 3: Wadi Natroun

On the third day of the Spiritual Egypt Tour you will enjoy a visit to Wadi Natroun, a desert area said to have been blessed by Christ, with three monasteries still in existence. You will spend the night in Cairo once more.

Day 4: Cairo Churches

Visit the holy well and sacred tree at Matariya, on the outskirts of Cairo, a well-attested resting place of the Holy Family and a popular destination among medieval pilgrims. You will also see the Church of St. George, as well as the Fortress of Babylon in Old Coptic Cairo, which the Holy Family passed by, and visit the ancient churches, including the Hanging Church and St. Sergius, in the same area. You will stay overnight in Cairo once more.

Day 5: Cairo/Minya

You will see the Church of the Holy Virgin on the banks of the Nile at Maadi, south of Cairo, where Jesus and His Virgin Mother boarded a sailing boat to the village of Deir Al-Garnousin in Upper Egypt.

An air-conditioned vehicle will take you to this village near the town of Maghagha, where the Monastery of Arganos was later founded. Here, outside the Church of the Virgin, a well is believed to have provided Jesus and the Virgin Mary with the water they needed. You will also enjoy the beautiful church hewn out of the cliff beside the river at Gabal Al-Teir in Minya. You will stay in Minya overnight.

Day 6: Minya

On day six of the Spiritual Egypt Tour you will take a trip to the Monastery of the Holy Virgin at Al Qusiya, a popular site for pilgrims from ancient times. Jesus and His Virgin Mother are believed to have stayed at this site for over three years. You will again spend the night in Minya.

Day 7: Return to Cairo

You will be driven back to Cairo to check into your hotel and spend the night.

Day 8: Final Departure

You will enjoy breakfast, and then transfer to the Cairo International Airport for departure.
