On the Saqqara, Dashur and Memphis Day Tour from Alexandria Port our representative will pick you up from the Alexandria Port by the cruise exit door. You will be transported by an air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo, with a trip time of approximately 2 ½ hours. From here, you will head to Memphis, the ancient capital of the Old Kingdom. Memphis was founded around 2250 B.C. and was considered the largest city of its time. The city ruled Egypt for more than 3,000 years, and still displays tremendous achievements in culture and architecture.

You will enjoy lunch at an authentic local restaurant before heading out to the ancient necropolis of Dashur, southwest of Memphis. You will also travel to Saqqara to see the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, which was never completed. The owner of the pyramid has never been discovered, though the construction has been dated to the 4th Dynasty.

After Saqqara, you will travel back to the Port of Alexandria.
