The Hotels in El Gouna

Each of the hotels in El Gouna is a three to five star resort, with all inclusive services and a host of “everyday” services in addition to the spas, restaurants and outdoor activities included. Business travelers and families will find everything they need in the town, including over one hundred restaurants, bars and specialty eateries, full internet access, banks, and private air transportation.

What to See and Do?

Currently the town offers diver training for those who come to enjoy the remarkable waters of the Red Sea. Guests can receive their certification that will allow them to enjoy the many private diving sites owned by the town, in cooperation with the Hurghada Environment Protection Agency. The agreement made by the town was done as a way of insuring against damage or negative affects on the undersea environment from frequent visits by divers.

Additional water sports at El Gouna include kite surfing, fishing, sailing, waterskiing, boating in one of the town’s glass bottom boats, and windsurfing – all activities that can receive private instruction or equipment rental through the El Gouna resorts.
Unlike many other resorts there are tons of things to see and do in El Gouna with children. This includes a private aquarium and museum, go-kart racing, miniature golf courses, pony and horseback rides and a Youth Center for “tweens” and teens to enjoy. There are also a few kids clubs at some of the hotels with daily activities and child care services available.

Adults can enjoy the world class eighteen-hole golf course, regular games of beach volleyball, bicycling a variety of terrains, horseback riding in the area, including desert journeys to visit with Bedouin tribes in the region, tennis games and private lessons, and the popular “quad” safaris on four wheel vehicles that include desert trips, full moon adventures, and a meal with the nearby Bedouin tribes.

Of course the one hundred plus restaurants, spa facilities, library, numerous sandy and sunny beaches and the private and comfortable rooms could easily fill out a guest’s itinerary as well.

If someone cannot find a single thing to see and do in El Gouna they are welcome to schedule a short flight from Hurghada (15 miles from El Gouna) to Cairo or Luxor and enjoy the remarkable sights and scenes that bring millions of visitors to Egypt each year.
