Day 1: Arrive in Egypt

Upon arrival on the Egypt and Jordan Tour our representative will meet you at the Cairo International Airport. You will then board a modern air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel, where you will stay the night.

Day 2: Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, Islamic & Coptic Cairo

After your breakfast in the city, you will tour the Great Giza Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. You’ll enjoy a close up view of the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Next stop will be the Egyptian Museum, where you will view artifacts from Tutankhamen, as well as other powerful pharaohs. Continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. End the sightseeing part of the day doing souvenir shopping in the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar which dates back to 1382.

You will be transferred to Giza railway station to board the sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board. Overnight in the train.

Day 3: Nile Cruising: Aswan Sightseeing

You will be met at Aswan train station. Then transfer to embark your Nile cruise before lunch at 11am. After lunch enjoy visiting the world famous Aswan High Dam, the awesome Philae Temple, and the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk. Dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.

Day 4: Nile Cruising: Kom Ombo and Edfu

Sail to Kom Ombo, have breakfast on board your Nile cruiser and then visit the ancient temple of Kom Ombo. Next, cruise to Edfu, enjoy lunch on board and then visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Take afternoon tea during sailing to Esna. Dinner on board. You will sail on to Luxor and sleep aboard the boat.

Day 5: Nile Cruising: Luxor Sightseeing

After breakfast, in Luxor, you can pay a visit to the West Bank Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut at the El Deir El Bahari and enjoy the Colossi of Memnon. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor Sightseeing and Transfer to Sharm El Sheikh

Breakfast on board, disembark from your Nile cruise after breakfast at 08:00 a.m. Then transfer to visit the temples of Karnak and the Luxor Temple. After finishing sightseeing you will be transferred to Luxor airport for your flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Most flights are indirect via Cairo Airport. Upon arrival in Sharm, you will be transported to your hotel for some leisure time. Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh.

Day 7: St. Catherine Monastery

On day 7 of the Egypt and Jordan Tour you will enjoy breakfast in your hotel and then set out for St. Catherine Monastery at the foot of Moses Mountain aboard an air-conditioned vehicle. Here, you will enjoy the Room of Skulls, the burning bush and some free time to enjoy the area.

Day 8: Free Day in Sharm/Optional Tours

Free day in Sharm El Sheikh. Optional Safari Tour to the Colored Canyon or Snorkeling Tour.

Day 8: Nuweiba/Wadi Rum/Petra

From your hotel, you will head to the Nuweiba, where you will take the ferry across to Aqaba. From Aqaba you will be driven to Wadi Rum. Here, you will board Bedouin Jeeps and explore the sand dunes, and visit Lawrence’s Spring. You will end your day at the Petra hotel, where you can check in and have the remainder of the day free.

Day 9: Petra Sightseeing

On day 9 on the Egypt and Jordan Tour you will enjoy breakfast in Petra and then enjoy viewing the ancient rose red city. You will ride on horseback through the Siq and then travel on foot to the treasury. The Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle are all open to viewing. Then transfer back to Aqaba taking the boat to Nuweiba and spend the night in your Taba hotel.

Day 10: Amman City Tour/Jerash/Amman

In Amman, you will visit the ancient Roman amphitheatre, as well as King Abdullah Mosque and the Archaeological and Folklore Museum. Next up, you will move on to Jerash, where you will find an amazing example of Roman architecture around every corner. You will explore Jerash and then return to Amman for the night.

Day 11: Back to Cairo

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Cairo (a 6 hour drive). Enjoy your evening in Cairo and spend the night in your Cairo hotel.

Day 12: Final Departure

The final day of the Egypt and Jordan Tour. You will have one final breakfast and the transfer to the Cairo International Airport, where you will catch your departing flight.
