The Kalabsha Temple was painstakingly and lovingly disassembled, moved, and rebuilt upon the Western Bank of the Nile, near the Unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam. Its original site was in Kalabsha, 31 miles from Aswan.

From here, you will be transferred to the Nubian Museum, opened in 1997 after a long wait for completion. Here, life-size displays of ancient life offer a unique and close feeling of what life was like those thousands of years ago. Artifacts which would have been lost at the floor of Lake Nasser are now placed safely here.
