A cruise down the Nile River can be a memorable way to take your accommodations with you as you see the classic sites, visit Upper Egypt (southern Egypt), and visit the temple and tombs that are located along the way. However, before you go, you need to ensure that your Nile cruise package includes everything that you have listed on your Nile cruise checklist.
Attractions and Length
This checklist should include attractions that you want to see, activities that you enjoy, and comforts that you might want throughout your tour. Therefore, the first item on your Nile cruise checklist should be length. The length of your trip can be a large factor in what you are able to see and do on any stops throughout your cruise. In most cases, you can often choose between three, four, and seven day/night cruise lengths. Typically, the longer the cruise, the more ground tours to remote areas that will be done and the further north you will travel.
Accommodations
Next on the Nile cruise checklist are accommodations. Cruise accommodations are very much like that of regular hotels. This means that the more luxurious you would like your accommodations, the more you can expect to pay, like for a luxury suite. However, you can also get very basic single-bed rooms for the budget conscious traveler or a single traveler looking to tour Egypt and meet new people.
Much like accommodations, the luxury of your ship will also be determined by how much you want to pay and what you plan for your Nile River cruise. From your traditional ships that act as floating hotels to a felucca trip that offers primitive accommodations, you can have a little adventure as well with a short trip up and down the Nile. Although fascinating, the felucca cruise is not for everyone.
Food and Entertainment
Also on your checklist for a Nile cruise vacation should be what you want for food and entertainment. Buffet options are the most popular, although there are formal, sit-down restaurants while on your cruise as well. Furthermore, you can also expect to see everything from disco to belly dancers to costume parties while on the Nile River.
The less entertaining you find these activities, the shorter you may want to plan your trip. When given the chance, though, many people find these activities to be a fun and entertaining experience. As long as you cover these basic areas on your Nile cruise checklist, you are sure to have the time of your life that is exactly as you expected.
