Day 1: Arrive in Cairo, Egypt

On the first day of the Egypt Highlights Tour we welcome you to Egypt, the gift of the Nile as described by Herodotus. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our expert representative who will help you during passport control, through the luggage area and customs formalities. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids/Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, you will enjoy an excursion to the Giza pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. Then, you will proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, which features the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, and dates from the time of Chephren. The Egypt Highlights tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren in construction date.

After that, you will visit the Egyptian Museum where you can see the great pharaonic treasures, including those of Tutankhamen. You will then be transferred to the railway station, where you will board a sleeper train to Aswan (you will spend the night on the train).

Day 3: Aswan, Elephantine Island by Felucca

In the morning, you will be met and assisted at the Aswan railway station and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After check in, you can visit Elephantine Island by Felucca boat. The island was named Elephantine, either because it was a major ivory trading center or because the ancient Egyptians first saw the elephant in this district. After your third day of the Egypt Highlights Tour, you will head back to hotel and spend the night in Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan Sightseeing

After breakfast on the Best of Egypt Tour, you will start with the Aswan High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, which is considered the largest piece of stone ever made and, most probably, belonged to Queen Hatshepsut. You will then continue on to the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. Afterward, you will board an air-conditioned vehicle for a trip to Luxor, where you will spend the night.

Day 5: Luxor Sightseeing

You will start day 5 of your highlight tour of Egypt in the early morning; no time is wasted in immersing you in this incredible excursion that takes you to Valley of the Kings, where you will experience the majesty and grandeur of Egyptian funerary architecture. After that, you will enjoy El Deir Bahari Temple, which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for 20 years during the 18th dynasty. Finally, you will visit the Colossi of Memnon. You will once more spend the night in Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor/Hurghada

After breakfast, you will enjoy a free morning in Luxor. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Hurghada by a modern air-conditioned vehicle for check-in at your hotel. You will spend the night in Hurghada.

Day 7 & 8: Hurghada/Red Sea

You will enjoy a free day in Hurghada or extra activities not included, such as the chance to enjoy excellent Hurghada diving and snorkeling among the Red Sea coral reefs and see some amazing rare fish. Alternatively, you can choose one of the many other activities such as windsurfing, sailing and deep-sea fishing. You will spend the night in Hurghada.

Day 9: Back to Cairo

You will enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then you will be transferred to Cairo by an air-conditioned bus and spend the night in Cairo.

Day 10: Final Departure

The final day of your Egypt Highlights Tour. After breakfast, you will transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
